Prescription renewals

Should you prefer to request a prescription renewal without first booking an appointment with your physician, please note that a fee will be charged as this is a non-OHIP insured service. If you prefer not to pay this fee, please book a phone or video appointment with your physician to renew your prescription.

For requests that meet all of these conditions …

  1. you are not imminently running out of your medication

  2. you can wait several business days for your request to be actioned;

  3. you do not have any concerns about your medication;

  4. you do not need any dosage changes; and

  5. the medication is not a controlled substance (e.g. a narcotic)

  6. you are comfortable paying a fee

… please contact your preferred pharmacy and ask them to fax a request for renewal to our office. Your physician’s fax number can be found here. Such requests may take up to several business days to be fulfilled though.

In any other situation, including more urgent requests, please return to the previous page, and book an appointment using the pink “any reason not listed on this page” option, at the very bottom.
