Thank you for your interest!

If you'd like to explore seeing patients at our location, please don't hesitate to contact us. We would be delighted to have the opportunity to connect.

Location

Where are the clinics?

We have three clinics located in Riverside, Beach and Midtown. Riverside is at 625 Queen St. E., Beaches is at 1874 Queen St. E and Midtown is at 418 Eglinton Ave. W.

Our Queen/Broadview location is technically in the community of Riverside, although most people know the area as Leslieville. We find it a young and dynamic area of Toronto, with many young families and a diverse patient population.

Part of the vibrant community of The Beach (or the Beaches if you prefer), our Beach clinic is at the corner of Queen/Woodbine. With its proximity to Lake Ontario, its colourful Queen St. E shops and its Boardwalk and recreational areas, the Beach often feels like a great resort town!

Our Midtown clinic, located by Eglinton/Avenue, is in the desirable Allenby neighbourhood, known for its popularity with young families. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the Yonge subway line and right on the future Eglinton Crosstown LRT line.

What are in the clinics?

At our Riverside location, we have 11 nearly identical examination rooms. This is what is available for use by health care practitioners other than family doctors.

The Beach clinic has 11 nearly identical examination rooms. This is what is available for use by health care practitioners other than family doctors.

Our Midtown location is somewhat different from the other two clinic in that it has a special procedure room and 5 identical offices in addition to 12 nearly identical examination rooms. Rather than using tradition construction methods, we have chosen to have our Eglinton location built by D.I.R.T.T., a company that provides dynamic made-to-order solutions.

In all locations, we also have both universal and regular patient bathrooms, 1 staff bathroom, a patient waiting area, and a staff lounge. The staff lounge comes with a great kitchenette, spacious dining area and comfortable couches.

Is parking available?

For the Riverside location, we're the ground floor retail unit of a condo building, so we can't get parking inside our building. There are Green-P parking lots just down the street, as well as street parking throughout the area.

The Beach clinic has the potential option of renting a parking space at the back of the building or there are numerous street and Green-P parking options close to the site. The clinic is situated right on Queen St on the ground floor of a condo building with a wide sidewalk in front.

We are located on the 2nd floor of 418 Eglinton Ave. West with street and Green-P parking lots located close by.

For patients, we've put together this map here for their parking options.

Availability and Scheduling

When is space available?

Our clinic is ordinarily staffed with only family doctors. However, there are certain times of the week when the clinic is not particularly busy. Contact us for additional scheduling options for each site.

ARE THERE LONG-TERM OBLIGATIONS?

We are making exam rooms available with no long-term obligations. Instead, we've set up an online booking page where health care practitioners can view available rooms, book, and pay for use of exam rooms as required.

The flip side is that we do not guarantee that space will be always available. Just to manage expectations, as we're ultimately a family medicine practice, the needs of our family doctors will take precedence.

When can I start?

We like to have a quick meeting in advance just so that we can meet and and get to know one another. After that point, you're welcome to book use of the exam rooms at your own convenience. Please schedule a time for this initial meeting by emailing rental@magentahealth.ca, attention Tess.

Services

What services will the staff provide me?

Our clinic is staffed with multiple administrative staff who's job it is to ensure the clinic runs smoothly. They will be available should unusual situations arise that need personal attention.

This being said, our clinic does not operate with a receptionist. Instead, patients simply check-in using a kiosk and once they do so, you will be texted a notification so that you can greet the patient and bring him or her into your exam room personally.

Please note that once you are finished with an examination room, you will need to leave it in a state ready for additional patients. This is typically just a quick tidy once you're done.

WHAT I.T. and equipment is available?

We provide WiFi internet access, along with telephones in each room. You will be expected to bring your own laptop and any other equipment that you require.

The medical equipment in the examination rooms is typically for family physician use only. However, if you require a specific item that we already have available, please let us know in advance and we can discuss whether you'll be able to use same and we will assess on a case by case basis.

Can i store equipment or material at the clinic?

As a general rule, no. However, we may be able to make exceptions depending on the size of your equipment - just let us know.

Cost & Restrictions

What are the fees?

Our fees are subject to change.

At the moment, we offer a subsidized rate for non-OHIP covered health care providers who we feel have a particularly hard time finding suitable space at $25 per hour plus HST. This rate is subsidized on the basis that we want to promote the availability of such services to patients in our community.

Our standard rate for OHIP covered or MD supplied services is $55 per hour plus HST. For other health care providers who have their own space and are looking to extend their existing business, the rate is $40 per hour plus HST.

Discounts may be available for long-term or high-volume practitioners, please feel free to ask.

Who is invited?

As we only have limited capacity, we unfortunately need to be quite judicious in who we can invite into the space. Our experience with health care is that different types of practitioners have differing access to suitable facilities and this in turn affects the availability and cost of care for our patients. This experience has led us to target our offer to health care practitioners who we feel have a particularly hard time finding suitable space, such as counselors, therapists, and registered dietitians.

must i associate myself with magenta health, or refer to magenta health?

No. If anything, we ask that you not publicly associate yourself with Magenta Health.

Instead, our expectation is that you will have your own branding and business, and, at most, publicize that you "see patients out of the Magenta Health clinic".
